Hi all fairly new to this forum, past couple of months I've been having a misfire in cylinder 3 normally occurs when accelerating from idle. When I was driving last night the engine management light came on and stayed on instead of flashing to indicate a misfire so I've done a scan and got these results and wondered if anyone would be able to help me out with it.
Thanks

Re: 6R GTI Misfire detected
Could be a number of things. Ross Tech site for the error code is not very helpful as the list is long and general and suggests:
Wiring/Connector(s).
Ignition system.
Fuel injectors.
Fuel pressure.
Running out of fuel.
EVAP canister purge valve.
Evaporative emission system.
Low compression.
Since it now affects all 4 cylinders and not just one as previously you need to look at things like low fuel pressure (could cause a misfire under heavy acceleration and affect all cylinders), EVAP canister, ignition wiring, camshaft timing sensor.

Re: 6R GTI Misfire detected
Thanks for the reply, I cleared the warning light and it hasn’t appeared again. I haven’t had it under heavy acceleration since doing so. I’ll take it out at the weekend again and see if it occurs.joe6 wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2019 5:49 pm Could be a number of things.
