I asked the dealer to replace the Traction Control Button to the right of the gear stick as it doesn't light up when you switch it off. After a few days, I was told that it isn't supposed to light up! This seems really strange as when you switch off the auto stop function (button immediately above the traction control) it lights up and the info display screen also tells you. You'd have thought that all the buttons would light up when selected but all I get is the info display screen telling me traction control is off but with no lit up button.
I'd be grateful if someone could confirm that this is indeed the case. If not and your traction button does light up, then I have yet another issue to sort out with VW!
Many thanks.

Re: Traction Control Button
Traction button doesn't light up in the Polo, and you get the amber symbol in your dash info screen that replicates the unlit symbol on the button. You also get warnings that a few systems are unavailable such as ACC. My MK7 Golf R does the exact same thing and ESC button also doesn't light up.

Many thanks for your response. If only the service team had known that

Re: Traction Control Button
Just picked mine up yesterday and also noticed the tcs button light wasn’t working - thought this was a fault so was about to call the dealership. Bit relieved that it’s not supposed to light up but find it very odd given all the other buttons down there do!
