Installing an Alpine head-unit

Post by sylonien »

Hello.

I have brought an Alpine head-unit and I kept on reading or hearing stuff about a 'Harness Adapter', so what is that all about? Would I need one for my Polo 9N, which has a s**t 'Beta' radio in it, which I can't wait to get rid off. I've already brought the removing keys from eBay for £2! :) What a bargain, I think anyway.

Any help or tips welcome, and thanks.

I've installed a new CDA-9835R a few months ago in my 9N. At the time I have no problems and I haven't used any adapter. Mine was installed by a professional so I don't really know if he changed something.

Well "apparently" I don't need a harness adapter for the Polo 9N and the latest Alpine head-units 'cos they used the same ISO standard plugs - apparently. Bit too dark right now to confirm this.

Has anybody else got an Alpine head-unit installed?
