Hey Guys,
I’ve got a VW Polo 6R 1.6 TDI and I’m having issues with the car pulling to left, I’ve got the following things done to the car but it’s still pulling to the left and I have no idea why
Track Rod end replaced and tracking done
Wheel Alignment
Full Left Leg Suspension replaced, with spring and shocks
I'm guessing that this car has been in a collision maybe just with a kerb, and that is why you needed to get these parts replaced, am I correct?
When you got "alignment" carried out, what sort of place carried out that task, some places will only adjust the toeing as the camber and castor are not easily adjusted, so normally listed as "not adjustable" - in your case, I'd reckon that the subframe has been forced across the car on its fixings or the car's frame distorted, so you really do need to find out what the alignment figures were - a printout of these before and after figures should have been provided if this work was done in a workshop with a Hunter etc alignment bench.
One thing that would give you alignment figures cheaply would be KwikFit as most of their outlets now have an alignment bench and will provide a printout, so you will be able to see if camber and castor as well as toeing are within spec, that service costs roughly £60 and it should provide you with a starting point to get back to the garage that replaced these parts and said that everything was sorted.
