Having a VW two weeks!
My Golf's DSG is having an off week and is going to a specialist for investigations, then while borrowing the wife's Polo Gti 60 plate, i managed to get it to leak coolant and through a engine light on!! I refilled and thought it was the long drive to Portsmouth in that Saturday heat. Then checking the fault code it threw up P10AA which is the Supercharger clutch? Ok, I cleared it and took for a drive. Not driving it always,I could not really tell it was down on power and coming from the R to the Polo is always a step down. But on that 'check' drive I could not hear the supercharger and thought it not working at all. When I put her back on the drive water was coming out all down the side of the engine.
On putting her onto a ramp I can tell the water and steam is coming from a pulley on the top part of the engine near the turbo charger/water bottle. Behind the aux belt is a second belt that is static when sat idling.
I'm finding it difficult to get any information but believe this to be the water pump & supercharger clutch all in one.
My question to those that have the knowledge, is: Is this replacement DIY'able to the relatively competent home mechanic? Does it require specialist tools? I'm happy with the aux belt as I had this off for an alternator replacement 8 months ago. But never gone near the supercharger or water pump. Is there any special technique? How far do you strip that side of the engine? Is there a step by step guide that somebody knows about? YouTube has nothing that I can find on water pump or supercharger.
Any steer greatly appreciated.

Re: Water Pump
There seems to be a higher level of "activity" concerning that engine on the Skoda and SEAT motoring forums, ie www.briskoda.net and www.seatcupra.net - so maybe look on these forums for help.
