Not a question as such, more an observation.
Now I've been servicing the Polo over the course of the weekend and while I was just fettling and looking the car over, I thought I'd just top things off as a matter of course. The coolant was a tiny bit low, by low I mean the thickness of a line below max, you'd not even notice unless you have an OCD gene in your DNA. So I thought I'll just top it off to max again at some point. Now I'd assumed it would be G13 as I thought it had been around for ages, however it's marked G12 on the reservoir, which I thought was pretty ancient in the scheme of things.
So what would you do, hunt down some genuine G12 of top-off with a newer alternative?
VW coolant types.

Re: VW coolant types.
No question, head straight for the G13 version, even from VW Group outlet if convenient.
Edit:- I think what VW Group is meaning in that graph/chart is, never ever add an older version of their official coolant to a car with newer version already in it - which makes a lot of sense.
