Car years/months?

Can anyone tell me when Volkswagen made the Polo 6N2 and when they stopped making it. Also when was the Polo 9n released/made officially? Months and year please!

When looking for car parts and the like the Polo 6n2 is always listed as "99-01" - it was built over those 3 years. The 9n therefore would have carried on from there, "01-". The newest 6n2s you can buy will be on "51" plates, and you can expect to find early 9n models on "51" plates too.

Thats about as much as I know

So when it says this part is for a Polo FROM 11/01 It should be a polo 9n? Its confusing me a little.

Sounds like a part for a 9n yeah. You could give the supplier a call and make sure that what you're enquiring about is definitely the right item for the car...

never seen a 9n on a 51 plate.

latest 6n2 is a 51plate.
