Hi, I'm sure someone has tried it before and can help with some information.
I want to change my normal bulbs on my 2011 Polo 6R to Led (tail, brake, reverse maybe even the turn signals), can someone recommend on a suitable led bulbs? Maybe from AliExpress/eBay?

I only wanted to replace the reversing light as the OEM is so abysmally dim. I used this one from ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-Bulb-Reve ... 3641202196
That one works fine and is much brighter. No CAN bus errors.
I also replaced my turning lights (not indicators - the ones below the front headlights) with LEDs but those had a ballast of some kind with a heatsink. I managed to cable tie those to the bodywork during installation. I got the H8 ones from Aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32890201321.html - the pair for £20.
As an aside I replaced the dim interior festoon lights and now realise just how cheap it is to produce LED lights. This made me think that it might be worth taking a punt on some of the cheaper versions to see if they are CAN bus friendly or not. Someone will no doubt tell me that interior lights are not part of the CAN bus system but the principle applies for exterior lights that claim to be CAN bus may be so even if they are cheap.
Anyhow, my interior lights, in case you are interested are the 36mm version of this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32812707410.html (10 for £1.54) and these (not currently available but you get the idea) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32839635552.html - I paid £11 for 20.

Or course, I should have mentioned that my car is a 2015 6C GTi but I would have thought that the links would still be useful, particularly if the fittings are the same.
