Problem with cornering lights

Post by maxym »

Hi. I got some strange error related with cornering lights in Polo 6R from 2009. Currently I have checked:

Code: Select all

Byte 21 bit 2: Cornering/Turn Lights via Turn Signal active
Byte 21 bit 7: Front Fog Lights (with Turn Lights) installed
Full BCM coding: 35B02BBF08E12400923800003D2B0CD10040410F608400002000
And with such coding i got error:

Code: Select all

03433 - Terminal 30 for Backup Lights and Adaptive Lights
011 - Open Circuit
When I activate cornering lights via:

Code: Select all

Byte 12 Bit 6: Turn/Cornering Lights installed/active
I got two more errors:

Code: Select all

03428 - Activation of Left Adaptive Light
011 - Open Circuit
03429 - Activation of Right Adaptive Light
011 - Open Circuit
Bulb failure warning is also active on the instrument clusters(only with checked Byte 12 Bit 6).
What can be the cause of that? Both front fog lights are working so i gues lightbulbs are fine.

With CNK help I found a problem. I don't why i had coding for cornering lights even though I do not have ESP and futhermore steeering angle sensor. So... I can't have cornering lights(by now  ). I need to add steering angle sensor(along with ESP i guess?) and some wires form lights to BCM.
I purchased my car with such coding. I suppose seller just wanted to add some functionality to the car before seelling it...

And here's my fusebox:

You also need to make a new fog lights electrical installation.

The absence of the SB57 fuse is indicative of this.

It would be something like this:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... sp=sharing

- Supply with +30 the terminal T73b/11 through the SB57 fuse.
- New electrical installation so that the fog lights are under BCM control.

Your current electrical installation for fog lights is through the light switch and the SB54 fuse. Without BCM control.

Maybe completely irrelevant, but my daughter's late 2009 5J Ibiza, without ESP had cornering lights fitted at factory - but it did have the extra steering angle component fitted below the steering wheel to provide info for that cornering light function and nothing else it seemed!

It is totally relevant information, we installed the steering angle component in a POLO 6R IND 2016 with 'ABS unit' from factory, with excellent results.

That's great news for me. Thx for sharing

Hmm. I'm lost. So there are two different versions of the angle sensor for car with or without ESP or not? The article number is the same. For example is that one will fit to my car?
