Aluminium Piping

Post by M@Turner »

Hello there. I'm after some aluminium piping for my BMC induction kit. 75mm in diameter and about 1.25m long. I've tried Halfords and they dont do the right size i'm after and i dont want to go to a specialist car place, as they charge way to much.

If anyone could give me some websites that sell aluminium piping at reasonable prices, it would be much appreciated.

P.S. The pipe does need to be bendable.

Yea then tell me where to get one too :-D
Theres gotta be some engineering firm round sheffield that will measure up and bend some aluminium / stainless steel tubing to size.

I wasn't very clear on my description, so hears a picture of what i'm after.

Is this clearer. It is bendable by hand so i dont need a pipe bender.

i find the alloy stuff varies in quality - I had some on and the bloody stuff split in a month. Now I use the thick plastic stuff with a hard helix built in - and it's much better. Airspeed do these for sure.

hello!! what you want to do is go along to your local powerflow and b*t*h slap the man! give him these instructions "hear is £20, i want you to make me a pice of pipe to conect this to this (pointing is required) and if you f**k it up im not only going to hit you with a 27mm (you may need to take one of these with you) but ramp this pice of stainless steel up your bum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

aluminum pipe is quite expencive, actually im not sure if they make it? :?

another alternitive is to buy a length of pipe either stainless like mine or aluminum, cut all the straight bits and conect with bits of samco.

you carn't cut the aluminum pipe with a grinder because its to soft!. i've heard it goes bang!

looks like this

Dubpolo is that what you did with the stailess pipe then? went to powerflow ?
