Im stressed out with this one. Bought new headlight bulbs for polo s 6R 2010 and the guy in the shop gave me H7 , assuming this was correct ive stripped the light out ripped the packet opened have gone to replace and the previous bulb was H4 so the new bulb wont sit in the socket its smaller so falls through into headlight. Obviously cant return the new bulbs since ive cut the packet open.
Any suggestions on this, would a H7 still be compatible if i got adapters for the bulb to hold them in place????

Why go to the extra expense of getting an adaptor (if there is one!) why not just accept it, keep the H7 until one of them goes and go and get the H4 you need. Surely it is better to have the right bulb in the headlight?

The Polo 6R has either a headlight where the dipped beam and high beam comes from the same bulb: H4. Or a headlight with two separate luminaires, one for low beam and one for high beam: 2 X H7. They can't just replace each other. Google is allways a good friend....

OP, try going to autobulbsdirect.co.uk and put your reg into the box and it will tell you exactly which to buy for your car. Hope that helps you sort it.
