hi, I bought my daughter a polo 2016 for her 18th birthday recently, she had a carfume smelly hanging, it has leaked onto her media screen and now the screen is not responding very well and working randomly, I have rang vw and they have quoted just shy of £1000 to replace the screen, I nearly had a heart attack, my question is I have seen the screen replacements on ebay, is a simple swap over or do you need codes etc? any help would be greatly appreciated
part number 6C0 919 603
thank you

Re: media centre replacement screen
Even if you do need component protection removing it's only roughly 80 to get that removed.
I'd see if you can get a decent screen and give it a go

You could also see how much the same model is on ebay-you might even find a new one as well as good condition 2nd hand ones.
