Lights?

Hello was wondering if anyone could help me, i drive a 2010 polo i have my headlights on the automatic setting and they work fine however, when it is dark none of my interior lights come on, no radio light, speedometer, door lights literally its so dark and hard to see. Its only when my headlights are on though, as soon as i turn the switch to the right on both sidelights and high beam everything lights up and i really dont know why? Im struggling to drive at night because of this problem ive attached pictures to show the problem

Hi, it looks like that is the off setting and you don't have auto lights.

Ah there is only 3 settings the one its on now is the only one that switches my headlights on automatically, the second one switches my side lights on and the third switches my high beam on. So im not sure how to have my headlights on whilst having all my interior lights on at the same time?

0 is the off position (possibly daytime running lights)

The position you need is the dipped light (the one with the lines angled down.)

The main beam will be on the stalk.

Oh ahaha feeling stupid now i assumed cos they actually switched on automatically and are brighter than the other setting they were the ones im suppose to use! Thanks so much for your help

I must admit that I drove my wife's 2015 Polo that has LED headlights and DRLs etc with "no lights on" once for a short distance - mainly due to how bright the LED DRLs were! I spotted that before other road users did and sorted it.

Edit:- remember with only DRLs on, unless someone has recoded things, there will be no rear lights lit.
