[SOLVED]6C 1.2 TSI comfort... need help

Post by Pierlu »

Hello everyone,

10 months ago I've bought a Polo 6c 1.2 TSI 90hp (a very nice car) and 5 months later I've "upgraded" springs and shock absorber with a Bilstein B12 kit (Eibach Pro Kit) because of the ride height (full stock the car was really high and the handling wasn't so good).

At the beginning the car was great, a really good improvement for everything (and the comfort was quite good, not at the stock level but nice) but now, after 10.000km the comfort is totally gone and the car feel really bad on city roads, side windows shake on potholes and the sunroof on the motorway after a while starts to make a noisy vibration (probably because you can feel the road unevenness) ... so I've 2 questions
  • 1) I've bought a set of suspension top strut (mine are probably gone) and I'm planning to change mine pro kit version with the 860kg version for the front axle (even if my car is 870kg). Could this solution solve my problem? It's not a real question because I have to try first but maybe someone had the same problem in the past.. who knows...
  • 2) I've also saw that post http://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f ... 90#p489337 where Ciclo fitted a set of oem sport springs (-1.5) at the rear axle but not at the front so eventually I'd like to fit sport springs also in the front axle but searching online I can't find them... so which original sport springs should I buy for my polo(870kg front axle)? In the case I'm going to fit again an original solution but lowered of course

Thanks in advance

Hello everyone,

after a top strut and springs substitution I've finnally solved my problem, the car now is comfortable overall (even for a B12 kit) and all vibration are gone... :D

Here a photo before and after

Good work, the after photo looks great, particularly with the new wheels.
