Hello to everyone.
This is my first car, I bought a 2011 Polo 1.2 TDI Bluemotion that has 88k miles on it.
I was looking online for some guides/tutorials on how to maintain my car.
Also I was looking for suggestions on how to keep the car in the best way possible.
At the moment I have the following issues that I'm not sure what they're depending on:
1. The heater takes a long time (5-6 mins) to start heating hot air... is that normal?
2. Sometimes the AC button automatically illuminates when I don't even press it... is it normal? What is it depending on?
3. Sometimes I hear a strange sound from the stereo, the thing is that I don't hear it everytime, only sometimes... what could be a possible cause?
4. When I start the car it says "Service" even if I serviced it only 2 months ago... is this normal? How can I solve it?
5. Sometimes there is a repeating "plastic" noise that I can hear... anything to be worried about?
6. Sometimes even after short journeys (20-30 mins), after I come home and turn off the car, the engine is still really hot... should I be worried about this?
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, anything will be really appreciated.
Kind regards,
Moksud Ahmed

1: yes a diesel takes longer to warm up.
2: only if your set it to recirculation
4: perhaps you need to digitally reset the service interval reminder with a diagnostic tool
6: that's ok
The other questions are too vague to answer

For the 2nd question, what do you mean? Where is this setting for recirculation?
For the 4th one, where do I find this diagnostic tool ?
Kind regards/

Regards question 2... recirculating button, little car icon with an arrow in it. Effectively recirculates air within in the car without drawing in air from outside.
Question 4. VCDS software. Works across VAG cars, VW, Skoda, Audi, SEAT, etc. Available to purchase from RossTech. Word of warning, if you're not mechanically minded, then VCDS software will simply complicate matters.
