Hi everyone,
I have been an avid reader of this forum since I bought my polo In January but haven’t had anything to post until now so please bear with me.
I’ve been doing some research into cold air intakes and performance air filters and I just had a few questions, any help is appreciated.
1. A k&n performance intake is a bit more money ham I’d like to spend at the moment so I was looking at a company called ram lair who seem to have a fairly good reputation, wondering if anyone has dealt with them before?
2. I can’t seem to find an intake kit for my car necessarily so I was wondering whether anyone had any links they could send me as I’m quite keen to give it a try!

I'd suggest that you enjoy this car as it is and save all your "car" money up for the next one as these engines do not respond/benefit from getting a cold air intake added or much else.
Maybe I'm just old, but I only once bought a K&N airfilter element, and that was for a Ford Escort 1600 Ghia, it did make me feel good about doing that, caused a slight increase in induction noise, but even I accepted that it was just a vanity project fitting that stick got the sticker that came with it on my tool chest, or rather my mate has as I've bought an even bigger storage unit for my many car tools - that is where I'd suggest you put any spare cash into without robbing your "next car" fund.
My wife had a 2002 9N Polo 1.4 16V 75PS from new, all I did to improve that car was to get SEAT Cupra TCA rear solid bushes fitted to it, that improved the steering turn-in massively - but probably your car has the later and older vertical TCA rear bushes - some people might even have replaced them with Audi TT/Golf R solid versions as I might need to do eventually on my wife's current 2015 Polo 1.2TSI 110PS.
