Headlight Washer Bracket

Post by JC9383088 »

Hi Guys,

Putting together a 2016 VW Polo Gti 1.8 Having difficultly getting the headlight washer system rigged up. The main issue I’m having is understanding how the arms that come out of the bumper to wash the headlight (number 16 in Pic) attach to the bumper. Would anybody know is this a bracket and if so would anyone have a part number?

ThanksImage

Oh I see you've added a picture now, it looks as if part 16 is part number 6C0955104

Hi Clive

Yep you’re correct this is part 16. However struggling to see how it actually attaches to the car.

Isn't there a bracket as part of the bumper behind/around the hole that the washer jet goes through ?

It will click into the bumper. No additional parts needed

Hi guys thanks for your help uses are both spot on. Unfortunately the bumper came without the piece to fit the arm into. Would any of use happen to know if you can buy this piece on its own or is it pre cast into the bumper ?

Unfortunately it's not shown as a separate part in any parts catalog I've seen.

I agree with above.

I also believe it's not necessary to open a separate topic for the same question so I deleted the new topic

Sorry to hear this, bad planning I'm afraid, I've just checked on the Kufatec website and it also mentions if the bumper currently have the openings in it you need a new bumper - so the clues were there sadly.

I've done retrofits as have others, you really need to dig deep to work out what you need before buying anything.
