Basically fresh oil, plugs and general good going over to see what the previous owner skipped over in maintaining it. Also had the ignition switch replaced and the engine temp sensor replaced.
Good news is that it looks like the erratic idle issue has gone away - the throttle body was fully cleaned and it didn't go away, the engine sensor swapped and it was still idling silly. Left the battery disconnected for a few hrs - and it is idling happily now !
Looks like the ignition switch has been done before according to my mechanice....
That's the good news.... bad news is that i need 2 new front discs due to corrosion and the rear cylinders need replacing as they're leaking.. the brake fluid needs changing due to it being contaminated with moisture...
Then the biggy.. it needs a cambelt change... it's sounding pretty bad so it's getting changed 4k short of the interval...
Hopefully it'll be running sweet as a nut come tuesday night next week....
