Rear brake discs - driver & passenger side - help.

Post by smithfra1 »

Hi everyone, first post here - excellent forum.

I've been sifting through it trying to find a post about what are the best set of factory standard disc brakes to fit to my Polo 1.2 TSI SEL - 105ps - 2010.

It said on the MOT that they were worn and having looked at them they now look corroded.

Would anyone know the actual VAG part numbers? I've tried hunting online but to no avail.

Or am I better going with a Bosch style replacement?

Any guidance appreciated and apologies if there is a post for this already.

I've always just bought Pagid discs and pads from ECP, ECP listings can sometimes be silly and cover every model of Polo even although you have inputted your REG, but in this case I'd doubt if there are few wrong options.

"Rear Discs PR-1KT = 230mm X 9.0mm 5/100 centre dia 135mm height 39.5mm centre bore 65mm
New Thick 9.0mm Min Thick 7.0mm OEM p/n = 1J0 615 601P Pagid (Geomet) 53955

Rear Pads 1K0 698 451J without wear indicators Width 87mm Height 53mm Thickness 17.2mm
Pagid T5075 "

The above is what I've noted down for my wife's 2015 6C Polo 1.2TSI 110PS but never needed to buy anything yet - I like having the actual Pagid kit stock number as having that allows you to question if you have been given the wrong parts BEFORE leaving the ECP place. (been there done that!)
