Best cheap exhaust/backbox for 2016 1.2 TSI

Post by Louis43400 »

I have a 2016 Polo 1.2 TSI, it’s a decent little car in all fairness. I’ve done a few little things to it to make it look a bit sportier (Black badges, painted calipers, black powder coated alloys, changed the grille to a honeycomb GTI grille (and yes, I took the GTI logo off before you all slate me I just liked the red on the grille to match the calipers) and finally some rally flaps). Now I just want it to sound a bit more aggressive for as cheap as possible but still decent quality. I don’t want anything really loud, just more of a nice deeper growl.
Any suggestions on what can be done would be great thanks.
Also, any suggestions on any more decent performance or visual mods that can be done would be great too! That’s what she’s looking like at the min.

I've always thought that the higher engine output power versions should have a red I on the TSI - but so far I've not got round to doing that, my insurer would possible complain about that as it makes the car look like it has been "messed with" and probably more desirable - I hope that you have informed your insurers about your cosmetic changes.

I’m on a fleet insurance through the company that my parents own, all my visual mods are approved by them. I just need to inform them of any mods that would change the performance of the car in any way, which I will do when I install a new backbox/exhaust system for example. Have you modded your polo at all and if so what have you done to yours? Also, any suggestions for a cheaper mod that will make the car sound better, think that’s the mod I’m wanting to do next.
