Hello all,
I am a new owner of a 2014 Volkswagen Polo Se Tsi, 1197cc. When turning off the air re-circulation I get a humming noise from under the glove-box on passenger side and a quieter noise when turning it back on. I have recorded a video from my phone, which I hope helps:

I'm a car novice and would appreciate any help you can give me, thanks.

Re: Air re-circulation makes noise
Recirc flap motor has a problem, either the linkage is fouling on something like collapsed or sagging sound proofing, or the flap has got some other reason for getting jammed - or, just simply the positional feedback potentiometer on that flap motor has a dirty track.
One way of the other it is f'd - no chance of getting the seller to sort it out for you, it might cost a bit?

Hi thanks for the information, no it was a private sale. How much do you recon to get the part replaced? Do you know of any guides to get to this part?
