Morning/Afternoon/Evening all
It's been almost 7 years since I last posted on uk-polos.net - it's good to see it's still alive!
I'm thinking about buying a Polo BlueGT (between 2013-2015) for my parents to replace their 2004 Polo Twist, budget will be approx £7.5k
Was there any difference in the engine?
I've heard rumours that the 1.4TSI engine can be problamatic (is this true?) Are there any pitfalls to look out for? Would you go for a high milager - 100k+?
Does anyone know where I can get a VIN from a registration plate and then a VIN decoder to find out what options came with the car from Factory?
Thanks - stay safe everyone!

Re: Considering a BlueGT...
Welcome back. The 1.4 TSI ACT/COD is an excellent engine. Not to be confused with the earlier CAV engine series.
I wouldn't worry a bit about this engine.
For the PR codes, it would be best to contact a dealership.

Here’s a 2014 Polo price list brochure which includes details of each model’s standard spec and the extra cost options that were available on a 2014 car. This brochure is for the 6c Polo which was the facelift version of the 6r. The 6c 1.4 ACT engine in the facelift Polo BlueGT was rated at 150ps, whereas one the pre-facelift model it was rated at 140ps.
