Polo match 6r radio upgrades

Post by SlamminSam »

My polo match 6r currently has what I believe is a rcd 310 fitting as stock but I was looking to upgrade to something with a touchscreen, not sure if there is anything aftermarket worth looking at or what genuine models would be good for me to fit?

In the genuine market you'll have the options for:
- RCD510
- RNS310/315
- RNS510

In the aftermarket, the RCD330/360 is very popular. There are many other options but they are too much to list.

Depends on what features you want aside from the touch screen.

I think that in the genuine radios only the RCD330/360 have car play, but they don't have DAB.

Think the rcd330/360 look best as I am a fan of CarPlay, what is the main differences between the two as to me they both look very similar?

Hi,

The RCD 330 is genrally from China, it includes 3.5mm jack and Apple car play, the 360 is a knock off of the 330, so noname, i belive its the MQB radios that have been modified to work with the Polo 6R, golf 6 etc, also some dont have the 3.5mm jack but have Android Auto, the RCD 330 are more popular, so it will be better for you, have a look around there are plenty that even come with free rear cameras, aslo some dont have RDS for the radio.

In terms of aftermarket, Pioneer and Kenwood would be your best best, however some have issues with the canbus and cas battery drain, if you have steering wheel controls and want a oem look stick with the RCD330, they have their own forums that help with updates etc.
