6R or 6C

Hi on the vin number it says 6R but was thinking a 2016 gti model from what I've seen say mine should be a 6C.

Generally speaking it is a 6R as you can find on the VIN tag, but many of parts will start with 6C0 and so it is known as a facelift or 6C version.

it is more than just a facelift imho over the previous GTI it's always best to refer to it as a 6C
