Slight rattling sound when idling

Hi all

First post, I'm new to the forum and new to Polo

I bought a 2017 1.2 TSI Match Edition with 37400 miles on the clock a couple of days ago.

I've noticed a gentle rattling sound when idle, more noticeable after a rev. Any idea what could be causing it and wether its something to be concerned about?

Here's an audio file of the sound, this was after 30 mins driving. Its also noticeable from cold start

Mine sounds similar. Just the way they are. I think it might just be due to the direct fuel injection, maybe the high pressure pump.

My 2017 1.2 TSI has quite a bit clatter when cold.

Thanks for your reply 2226, feeling slightly better about it!

It's just such an odd noise, like a couple of dice being gently rolled around in a plastic cup...
Is there anything I can do to minimise it?

Nothing that I know of.
Friend of mine picked up an A4 2.0 tfsi quattro and he says he has the same annoying clatter.

I put a Pioneer TS-WX70DA sub in the boot ... hides the noise
