I hope it’s a quick and easy process of simply asking for the cars ship allocation and for them to give it with no questions asked with the day and time it’s leaving, please and thank you

Re: Delivery/Tracking
The dealership I’m picking my car up from is Nuneaton so I should really assume that it should be Grimsby it gets delivered to.

That's bizarre, it's not done that in months as you say! Leaving from the Audi side of the port howeverShockingIce wrote: Sun Aug 16, 2020 1:55 pmI stand corrected! It never goes Grimsby but it is for first time in months!Ima wrote:Cheers. I can see Malacca Highway is a vehicle carrier leaving to Grimsby on 18th so wondered if that might be the one but maybe not. I guess it’s harassing customer services again once ships leave

Fingers crossed for Rotterdam, mines been stuck in Emden for 3 weeks now

Oh really? You supposed to be Grimsby? Where you picking up from. Mine is due in Emden later today so hopefully don’t end up sitting 3 weeks in Emden [emoji28]PhilArnold wrote:That's bizarre, it's not done that in months as you say! Coming up on 8 months from order date and eventually arriving in Emden on 25th July after being told it was on a boat that arrived a month earlier. Once in Emden other member's cars on here immediately got on another boat to Grimsby but mines been stuck there.
Fingers crossed I get some movement in the next few weeks otherwise I'm sacking it off

Re: Delivery/Tracking
I’m getting my car from a dealer just down the road from Grimsby and have been told my car is heading for Sheerness so it would it seem that might be where most cars are going at the moment regardless of location...
Apparently from this point it can then take up to 2 weeks at the port waiting to be loaded onto an available truck to be transported to the dealer.

Re: Delivery/Tracking
Getting close. Glovis Century about to arrive in Emden and I see the Mallaca Highway is there due back into Grimsby on the 18th.
I live in Birmingham. My polo is 2018 came via Grimsby so fingers crossed for me on that one.
I notice the ship called port of Rotterdam is either there or on route so I think it looks either way two boats of
Polo’s to the UK in the next 2/3 days ish.
Happy times for everyone waiting.

In fact in 2018 I’m pretty sure it was the Mallaca Highway. Same ship

Re: Delivery/Tracking
Because it's getting closer and closer to home, I'm more eager to find out information on ships and waiting times.
I've contacted Live Chat once again and found out that within 3-4 working days they should have information such as; what ship the car is on or has been allocated. As of now, the information they still have is that the car is on the Glovis Century. I have been told that because my dealership is Nuneaton, it is more than likely going to be the 'Port of Grimsby' that the ship will be heading to deliver the car to the UK. Anymore more information should be within 4 days.
Also, the advisor did say that it's approximately a couple of weeks away from reaching the dealership, give or take.
70 plates for everyone!

Re: Delivery/Tracking
I’m in Birmingham so Grimsby for me as well. I’ll be checking all the car ships there and arriving to see when they update with destination details. Hopefully on whatever one is Grimsby bound.
Once on it’s way, yes should be about two weeks to collect overall

Re: Delivery/Tracking
My 2018 polo was in Emden a week. I know someone else’s whose arrive from SA on the same boat moved to the UK in 2 days.
So really difficult to guess. But I’d hope 3/4 days sounds about right.
Please post if you find out which boat you get. Mines likely to be boat buddies

Ooh getting excited now. My dealer is in Tamworth so Grimsby sounds likely for me too so we could all be together. Interesting to see who gets it first now
