Re: P0101 code - MAF
Folow the hose from IC on left side it should be sround there
Loosing coolant? Probably leaky EGR or water pump

Re: P0101 code - MAF
Would it be around there?

Re: P0101 code - MAF
2 cond pic, left lower part you see that fat tube folow it down
Re: P0101 code - MAF
Looks like I’ll have to jack it up and take the tray off underneath to get to that maybe. Thanks
Re: P0101 code - MAF
Is this it? It’s actually on the big ic tube

Re: P0101 code - MAF
Yes it is
Re: P0101 code - MAF
Losing my patience with this.. Cleaned map, had a new maf sensor, new air filter and still no luck.. 30 miles into a drive glow plug light flashes everyday at the exact same spot on my way to work, Doesn’t look like any wires or leaks in pipes visually, This p0101 code only occurred a few days after I had a new dpf sensor fitted and adapted due to a previous code. Since then it’s been haunting me. I’m clueless of what to do?!

Re: P0101 code - MAF
I'm not sure, can someone else try to help is there maybe a fuse for MAF or DPF sensor?
I'm not sure why does the DPF sensor need to be adapter to the car

Re: P0101 code - MAF
When you replace a dpf sensor you have to adapt it and reset it as a new sensor wouldn’t run on what the old one reads

Re: P0101 code - MAF
Interesting since the sensor reads pressure inside the dpf, and temperature. You didnt replace the whole dpf to reset it to 0%
Re: P0101 code - MAF
I also thought you’d be able to plug in and it work but when you read up about it and I also done another post about it everyone said once fitted don’t start the car as it makes the new sensor have the old readings it has to be adapted.. since then my dpf sensor fault hasn’t come back but this p0101 code, I assumed it was my air filter it was beaten up and the wool around it was loose one day it was quite Smokey so I changed it and now every 30 miles I get this code..

Re: P0101 code - MAF
I’d just like to add my thoughts,as you have already had a DPF issue with a new sensor fitted and adapted.
Could the DPF have been reset to zero at the same time ? Ie DPF has a level of soot but reads zero ? This in turn could cause back pressure/ a restriction ?
The below information was taken from Ross tech website associated with p0101
It is not uncommon for a TDI to set Implausible Signal Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) faults when the engine performance is reduced due to a mechanical problem. These mechanical problems may include, but are not limited to:
Faulty electric fuel pump or Restricted fuel filter. See the Fuel Pump Basic Settings for PD, PPD, and CR TDI Engines page for Basic Settings tips after replacement.
Excessive restrictions in the intake/exhaust system
Internal camshaft/valve/lifter problems
Try a genuine fuel filter as it’s a maintenance part and an easy swop.

Re: P0101 code - MAF
When you changed the DPF sensor to a new one, this has caused the new sensor to think like the old one which has reduced efficiency, so now the sensor is reading more air flow due to it allowing for the crud build up it thinks is still there (from old sensor adaptations) and the computer is saying use less fuel and trim back the ignition which is causing a lean air flow and the ECU probably thinks this is due to faulty maf.
Re: P0101 code - MAF
Oh right, So how would I go about solving the issue then? Thanks for the reply

Re: P0101 code - MAF
Im pretty sure that you should have just cleared the fault and it would reset it readings.
You can addapt the soot level od dpf filter by average consumption x mileage.
