Hi
I deactivated my headlight washers using Carista and have tried to enable them again as it's almost MOT time but they don't work anymore, any ideas where to start?
Thanks

Do you have access to another tool like vcds?

Re: Headlight Washer
Then your best guess is probably too find someone who does. Or check any other suspects like the fuse relay and pump but the obvious first choice is the coding

Re: Headlight Washer
Someone on an Audi forum changed the timing of their headlights washers, I don’t remember which tool they used, but they could not reverse the changes, and the system would not work, and MOT time was “soon”.
More like they failed to record the original coding, which is now what you need to get and compare with what you changed it to _ but as said, by using a proper tool like VCDS.
Afternatively, hand your car into a VW dealer and they can, at a price, overwrite your changes from VW Mothership held factory settings.
Tip, only use Carista as a scan tool and for resetting service alerts. I keep a dongle in each car for reading codes when away from home, and at home for resetting service alerts, for everything else I use VCDS.
