Hi all,
If you know any garages/specialists that are based in the above areas, let me know! Cheers!
I'm looking to do a few modifications to my Polo GTI 1.8 6R and looking for someone reliable and affordable to fit said mods (if those two factors exist at the same time).
Mods:
Remap
Lowering
Exhaust
Intake
Possibly clutch (depends on remap requirements)
If you have any suggestions/recommendations on any of the mods or if I should add/remove mods, feel free to drop a comment!

depends on how far you want to go with it tbh as some off the shelf maps stop at stage 1 and other custom maps go to stage 3 so that maybe something to think about with regards to map.
springs or coilovers are both good for lowering but avoid the cheap coilovers (stance, JOM etc.) as ive seen them fail after 6 months also if you have the sport button you will need a delete kit or get the suspension coded out.
milltek, scorpion and remus all do exhausts for it (probably more aswell).
racing line, revo, ramair all do intakes for it, some are open and some are closed so depends if you are looking for noise or not.
Sachs, RTS and helix all do clutches for it, they are know to start slipping even with a stage 1 map

I'm probably going to leave it at stage 2, if I ever decide to go that far. Right now stage 1 is my priority with the rest of the listed mods above.
I think I'll be going for the Eibach Pro Kit with spacers for lowering, Remus for the exhaust, Racingline for the CAI (upgraded?) and a TMD. Just trying to decide on what remap I want i.e. APR, Revo, Vudu etc.

Apr only do stage one so you won't be able to any further than that.
Revo are decent and well known for maps.
No comment on vudu.
I run the eibach springs on mine and it lowers it just enough but rides better than stock imho (also run 15mm spacers up front to clear the brakes)
The exhausts are all pretty similar tbh (i run the milltek on mine)
I used to run the racingline intake and it's pretty good tbh just wish they had sold it with the hi flow kit earlier.

Yeah, that's my only gripe with APR. Haven't looked into Revo as much...Dink wrote: Wed Jan 13, 2021 3:47 pm Apr only do stage one so you won't be able to any further than that.

Did you not run any spacers on the back? And how much did you lower the car by? I don't want to slam the car, just trying to get rid of that gaping wheel arch at the back - whilst keeping the tyres safe of course...
How does the Miltek sound? I was tempted by Remus because of their valve controller - it would come in handy where I live...Loud during the day and quiet during the night...until I hit the main roads haha
With the Racingline intake I'll defintely be upgrading to the high-flow kit.
