Service items help

Post by Onandon »

Hi all.

Long time lurker checking in.

I have a 2016 gti which is just coming up to 50,000 miles.
I’m based in Ireland and as the car was never sold here the VW dealers I’ve spoken to are pretty clueless and unhelpful.

So, what needs to be done at this mileage and what are the parts ?
For instance, if plugs need to be swapped, what model plugs need to be used.

I can’t find anything after searching. Sorry if this already exists.

Thanks

Hahaha
Use vw etka online or autodoc for parts.
Change all filters, change oil, brake fluid , coolant. Inspect for wear other items suspension etc.
Change the accessory belt its 5 yrs old now.
If your car is chain driver well. If not concider big service.

Sorry i dont own a 1.8t so i dont really know.

Thanks.

Every other car I’ve had and have has a forum that usually has a sticky or dedicated post outlining what’s needed. I’m surprised you guys have nothing.

There are no vw specialists here and VW are useless so just want to be 100 % on what I need to order.
