Yes, I'll make a small complaint here to the VW Classic Parts department. But I agree, most of the VW employees have a good behaviour and are good people.
You can order a so called Birth Certificate. It states all the equipment of your car. It is of value if you decide to build or re-build a classic VW into its original state.
My Karmann Ghia Type 34 has a so called matching number set (engine, gearbox, chassis) which accounts for 20% value if maintained correctly.
So I ordered the certificate to confirm this. You enter the chassis number, gearbox number, engine number and you receive the certificate.

So they apparently don't know the original body colour (!?), they only state that the engine is factory fitted but don't mention the number (why!? they know the number).
And they write that the car has a manual 4-speed gearbox while it actually has the first model fully automatic.
And apparently they made it in one day.
And I paid 75 euros for this. Come on VW...
