Front bumper issue
When I bought my Polo last July there was a little issue on one side of the bumper.
Two clips were not in place and the bumper was not correctly aligned.
When I unistall the front bumper I found left guide damaged/ in bad condition.
Never mind, I bought the two guides to replace have fresh new ones.
Parts number are:
-6R0 805 072 E
-6R0 805 071 E
Today I decided to replace both.
But I have now an issue on the right side.
Left is now perfect as you can see: But on the right: I don't know why but I can"t adjust properly the bumber.I passed over 1 hours to try different adjustment: nothing.

Re: Front bumper issue
Sorry for off topic post, but I see you have an OCD like me regarding the panel fitment.
Can you snap a pic from up close where the bonnet meets the fender near the A pillar. Like that part of the car but up close.
Can you move the bracket upwards 1 mm more? Is the bumper clipping in in its place ( bracket offset tad left or right more than its suposed to be?)
On other pic(issue), your bumper needs to go 1mm forward. Check if you aligned the bracket left-right

What OCD means ? Bad panel's alignement ?
For your question, here are the different pictures:
Left side (or driver for me): Right side: On the right side I can notice thaht the gap between the bonnet and the A pillar is way lower than on left side.
I noticed (bumper installed) that this plastic parts seem to have a too "early curve".
The curve is not completely plated with the metal. And it's seems to this prevents the clips from entering completely. Sorry my english is not excellent at all and describe a precise issue wihtout correct vocabulary is quite a challenge.
But at the same time, clips are all in place (I can see them trough the gap)
I also tried to push it forward: nothing happen

Re: Front bumper issue
Thank you,
Well if its curved, you could slightly bend it if its the issue. But i've doubt if its VW bumper, and VW OEM brackets that this would be an issue except positioning them left-right and up down.
OCD ( think of it that you cant stand something not being perfect hahah)

Re: Front bumper issue
From your pictures, it looks like either the front wing or the bumper at the area where they meet, is not the correct shape - I'd expect the front wing at that point to be straight/flat and also the bumper, so to me it looks like the bumper is getting or is now distorted.
So, if possible remove that side of the bumper again and the fitting guide section, then check if both the bumper and the front wing are straight/flat by using something that you know is straight/flat like a school ruler or a length of wood, then you can work out what needs doing to solve your problem.

Re: Front bumper issue
What about removing the bracket off the car and trying to clip.iy to the bumper to see if everything matches up?

Their is a miss alignement: it's clear.RUM4MO wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 10:23 am From your pictures, it looks like either the front wing or the bumper at the area where they meet, is not the correct shape - I'd expect the front wing at that point to be straight/flat and also the bumper, so to me it looks like the bumper is getting or is now distorted.

The thing is: when I bought the car in July 2020. I had no issue with this side (the right one). Only the left because the left headlight support was damaged. Now, it's solved.
It appears when I replaced both headlight support: quite strange no ?
I will check out what you said when the weather will be warmer. Working on plastic parts with low temperatures is not the best idea.
Do you think VW could solve my issue ? I think to that because I had to repaint my front bumper: damaged by rocks impacts.

I already tried it.amer6R wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 5:20 pm What about removing the bracket off the car and trying to clip.iy to the bumper to see if everything matches up?
But I didn't take any photos: my bad.
If I remember correctly the headlight support (or the bracket as you want) seems to fit nicely in position.
But without photo I can't be sure at 100%

Re: Front bumper issue
I think you need to move the bracket 1mm down, or tilt the front of the bracket 1mm down to get the gap.
Im looking and looking athe first picture, and your bumper isnt clipping into the clips thats why i think it need to go 1mm do front of the car.
Remove the headlight if it helps?

About clipping, their are all clipped but not totally. I noticed also the fact bumber need to be moved
to the front but I can't move forward more.
With or without headlight change nothing
