Hey all,
Had anyone successfully installed courtesy lights? I think that's the name...it shines a light (or logo) onto the ground when the door is open.
I have a 2012 1.6 TDI polo and would love to have these lights. I understand that there is nothing there to begin with to replace so I'd have to make a hole and do a bit of wiring. Is there a wire in the door which I can steal electric from to make these lights work?
I have seen ones that just stick on the door but they look a bit rubbish. I'd like to have them actually fitted into the door.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Retrofitting courtesy lights
i placed them, in a square hole and then on the inside of the hole. i took the permanent positive from the door regulator and a switched minus from the door lock
