Should the 12V power socket be illuminated?
Should the 12V power socket be illuminated?
Hi, not long had my Polo and have noticed that the orange/red ring around the 12V socket in the centre console doesn't light up, despite looking as though it should. Looking though the forums, I'm not sure whether it should or not, it looks as though this might be a cost-cutting measure on later cars (mine's a 67 plate Match 1.2 TSi). If so, how easy would it be to add illumination to it? Is the wiring already there? I believe it also illuminates the little storage space behind it too. Thanks

It lights up simultaneously with the button lighting. Might be a broken light bulb

The bulb is not easy to replace without a special tool (see video in original thread)
