I'm considering to switch my regular bulb in my Polo 6C to LED.
According to VW:
Front roof light: 3x T10 W5W
Vanity mirror: 2x C5W 36mm
Rear roof light: 2x C5W 36mm
Boot: 1x T10 W5W
Foot light: 2x T10 5W5
So 6 T10 and 4 C5W.
I think I will take some Osram's product. Seems to be a good brand but before buying them, have you any advice or tips ?
I heard that some people had some issue with remaining light, dashboard fault etc....

Re: Polo 6C Led interior: tips
Hi,
In my 6R - have been using osram 2780 T10 0.5W 12V in front and rear foot and sylvania 578/6411 or 6411/578 12.8V 0.5W in front roof light (i have single bulb unit).
No faults or issues observed in around 2 years usage.
Foot well are not very good as T10 throw light in all direction instead of expectation of down pointing.
My polo has :
No vanity lights
No rear roof light
No boot light

Re: Polo 6C Led interior: tips
The interior lights are not monitored by the BCM, so no dashboard fault. Be careful with the so-called CAN bus LEDs, as they use resistors to waste energy and trick the car into thinking an incandescent bulb was used instead. Some Chinese LEDs are very poorly made and can be true fire hazards.

glad someone brought this up. It bugs the hell out of me calling them CANBUS lights when it's nothing to do with CANBUS and is just a over driven resistor jammed in the base cooking everythingheftyshooly wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 8:52 pm The interior lights are not monitored by the BCM, so no dashboard fault. Re: Polo 6C Led interior: tips
Hi.
How are you getting on with the upgrade?
I installed some generic LEDs in mine and the light output is great.
I have noticed today though that the 3 bulbs in the front roof light are flickering very faintly when off, so I'm looking to replace these with some better quality bulbs (possibly Osram).
The rear roof light is fine, no flicker. I believe my boot light may be flickering also so it's looks as though its a problem with the W5W bulbs.
Let me know how you get on and which bulbs you have used.
Cheers
