‘Since Start’ fuel figures on digital cockpit

Hi,

Strange question but over a year ago I used to have my fuel economy on ‘since start’ showing the average fuel economy per journey on the digital cockpit. After my car came out of a service over a year ago all the figures seem to be either live so changes constantly or from the trip. I am trying to workout how to get it back so I can have the average fuel economy for each for the journey ‘since start’ on my digital cockpit. I have tried messing around in the setting buts seem to get it back but can’t figure it out and it is just irritating me more than I particularly care.

The other reason for my post is I have spent so long trying to work it out again I have started to doubt myself whether I ever had it set up like that in the first place, does anyone else have it set up like that?

I have just had my Polo GTI put to stage 1 so I am trying to see how it has impacted the fuel economy on my different journeys.

When you scroll up and down to show all the readouts like MPH, oil temperature, etc you will come to instantaneous MPG which of course is up and down like a yo yo. If you then scroll up one more you have or should have 3 choices, MPG since start, MPG since re fuelling and long term MPG, (I think), you just press the button in the center between the up/down and left/right scrolling buttons to change the MPG options.

@Jefferz; if you’re interested specifically in data since the start of the current journey, you could use the ‘Overview’ display option - also accessed by scrolling through the various menu options using the up and down buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel and then pressing the ‘OK’ button. The Overview display option gives mpg, mileage covered, time elapsed and average speed ‘since start’ of the current journey. I can’t remember but there may be one or two other metrics within the Overview display.

Cheers guys, I’ll look at it tomorrow. I found it a really useful thing to have using the second display option on the digital dash and having that as the inner instrument. I’m usually a technical guy but for some reason was stumped getting it to display since start rather than trip or live in that centre instrument circle. Regardless I will have a crack tomorrow cheers.
