Replacement of passenger doors - problems

Post by Stonerwitch »

I'm hoping someone can help - I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this stuff....

I've just replaced both passenger doors on my polo (bought 2nd hand doors to replace ones I'd damaged). I've got 2 problems:

1. When I attached the electrics of the front passenger door I get intermittent white noise coming from the speaker even with the engine off. I've left the electrics disconnected for the moment.
2. The central locking of these 2 doors doesn't respond, via either physical key or remote (that's when I have connected the electrics of the front door to test the central locking!).

Can anyone offer any advice on how to fix these issues? I'd be very grateful!

We’re the ‘new’ doors from the same model year and spec as your car ?
If they are not an exact match the wiring in the doors could be different,so won’t match up to your car.
You could use your original wiring looms from the damaged doors and fit into the ‘new’ doors this would be the best/ cheapest solution
