Sidelight bulbs wanted!

Post by Si_GTi »

... and on a different note entirely from Half-Life:

I've got a smashing pair of MHW black side repeaters ready to go on the car, but they are supplied with standard orange sidelight bulbs, which will of course provide that "fried-egg" look. Its not on!

Where can I get hold of some "silvervision" style sidelight bulbs (I've heard the word "silvatec" mentioned somewhere?), and roughly owwwmuch? I am also seriously considering swapping out the indicator unit's bulbs too for the same reasons, are these the same type? If so I can order those at the same time :)

Thanks...

After a few minutes web browsing I found these:

But I'm not convinced they'll fit the MHWs as the supplied orange bulbs are a lot slimmer in shape - I'll take a pic of them tonight for comparison...

www.venommotorsport.com do a type of them.

Personally on mine i don't notice the orange bulbs on them because the background is black.

also www.speeding.co.uk may do them as well.

Cheers.

The supplied bulbs have the following text on them:

OS 12v WY5W E1 2GV

I believe that the WY5W bit is the bulb type, stop me if I'm wrong :?

I'll take a look at speeding's webby shortly. Ta!
