Polo gti electrical problems

Post by stevo8375 »

Hi guys, wondering if someone can assist me…I’ve got a 2013 6R polo gti and I’ve got a couple of issues

1, heated rear window doesn’t work, checked fuse and that’s ok but switch doesn’t illuminate the led on it. Can’t hear a relay click either (does it have one)

2, heated rear view exterior mirrors don’t work, again fuse checked. Movement of mirrors up and down left and right works but no heating.

Any help appreciated as the cold weather starts could do with fixing these issues. Thanks

I think one topic should be sufficient; I removed the other one.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Does the 6r polo have a relay for the heated rear window? (Anyone got a circuit diagram at all)?

I can’t hear a click when I press the button, should I? All contacts and strips on the rear window look good.

Has anyone had this before?

Thanks guys

If you have a diagnostic interface, you could check the signal that the central electronics module receives from the module. it could be as simple as a broken switch.

I’ve only a cheap code reader and that doesn’t show any faults at present.
