POLO GTI DSG 2011-2012 6R

Post by Milz__ »

Hi guys, I’m currently looking at the market for a polo gti and with my budget Im able to afford a 2011 or a 2012. I was very happy with my choice until I came across several forums and YouTube videos regarding major problems on these cars. Should I go ahead and buy one ? Is this the right choice or am I asking for trouble ? If I do buy it is there anything I can do to prevent issues. Please help me as I am stuck in between buying it and being scared that it might go wrong on me.

At the very least, get one with the gen 2 DQ200 gearbox and CTHE engine.

The early cars (6R) are known to have high oil consumption and poor DSG gearboxes , the facelift model (6C) is a better car, may be a lower spec but newer model would be the way to go and still keep within budget ?
