Re: Help identifying wires
I know the yellow is for the airbag but apart from that I’m stumped

Re: Help identifying wires
Yellow one airbag for sure
Small one probably for seatbeltdetection (driver side)
Big one probably for heated seats
yellow/red wire for +12v

Re: Help identifying wires
Underneath each of the seats you'll find a small black box which is the heated seat control unit.
From this unit, you'll see a thick purple wire going to the seat heating pads. This is the positive feed to the pads.
A thick brown wire will be the minus.
I don't think you can simply put 12V on the wires on the plug you're seeing, since the BCM will control the heating via the aforementioned modules.
What I'd do is connect all browns to ground and connect the purple wire to the output of the seat heating buttons with the appropriate thickness. And monitor all connections and heating at first try.
LIke my compatriot said, small black is for seat belt and yellow is for airbag.

Re: Help identifying wires
Would it not be possible to use a mk4 loom from kufatec and splice it onto the corresponding wires?iichel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:04 am Underneath each of the seats you'll find a small black box which is the heated seat control unit.

Re: Help identifying wires
No because your 9n3 does not have the ability to provide the control modules underneath the seats with the correct signals
