Hi all,
My Polo refuses to start 5 times out of 10..
When it does start the glow plug light flashes yellow, the engine sounds a little rough and it cuts out after 10 seconds of running.
I have run a scanner on it and was hoping for some advice as to what this could be.
I initially thought fuel injector in bank 3, but that wouldnt be causing the car to cut out after 10 seconds of runnning.
Fault codes as follows:
P0641 - Powertrain - common rail pressure high
P0269 - Powertrain - Cylinder 3 - Contribution/Balance - Faulty fuel injector or glow plugs
P2017 - Powertrain - Intake Manifold position sensor/switch circuit high in bank 1
13178 - Unable to find information on this one
13184 - Shut off valve for gas - high pressure regulator N372
13174 - Intake air temperature sender 3 G520 Signal too small
16065 - Due to limp mode
Any ideas and suggestions are welcomed as I am a bit stumped!
Thanks.

Re: Polo 6R 2011 cuts out with flashing glow plug light.
You should start checking the basics .
Battery , glow plugs, glow cables and ignition coil.
You check battery with a multimeter to see how many volts it has, if its 12.6 u r good.
If its below that its starting to go bad. But in order for the battery to cause a problem it has to be below 12 volts. Even with 11.9 it starts the car
You should check the glow plug/glow cable of cylinder 3 . The cylinders/glow plugs always start from left to right . 1 2 3 4 .
Check the glow plug fuse for green ressidue, rust etc .
To check the glowplug replace the glowplug of 3rd cylinder with 2nd cylinder and start the car and scan it again afterwards
if the problem is transported to the 2nd cylinder it means the glowplug is bad and needs replacement.
I mean thats from where i would start to make sure battery/glow plugs , coil , cables are ok.
