Polo 6C Engine mount

Hey fox !

Today I was changing my both stab link and after that job, I decided to investigate
to found why my engine was jerking at each acceleration.

Well, I think I found the issue...

It's the original gearbox mount. And apparently it's very common to fail or worn out fast.

According to ETKA, the Part Number is "6Q0199555AS"
Seems to be an updated version of the current one installed on my car.

However, at 120 euros (or more) it's pretty expensive.
I found some product from Lemforder (29978 01) : could be a good solution ?

The AS version or its aftermarket equivalent, Lemforder list p/n 29978 01 is what you need, I needed to get swopped over under warranty on my wife's August 2015 (late June build) Polo 1.2TSI 110PS.

I recorded the following comments when I thought that I'd be left to sort this out properly, so maybe useful for you now.:- New bolts required each time that they are removed/refitted, bolts are:- 2 – off mounting to transmission bracket p/n WHT001835 fixing torque 50Nm + 90degrees and 3 – off mounting to body p/n N 10246611 fixing torque 40Nm + 90degrees and 2 - off mounting bracket to transmission p/n N 10703701 fixing torque 40Nm + 90degrees. Support the weight of the transmission using a trolley jack and wood packing, access to some fixing bolts is via the LHS wheel arch, the LHS front wheel needs to be removed and some wheel arch liner screws removed, VW workshop seemed to remove a few, but removing the wheel arch liner to apply Waxoyl and clean muck out is never a bad idea, so do this to both sides when/if fitting a different gearbox mounting.

Do you think it's worth to take it from dealer or aftermarket is also a decent one.
At least, Lemforder is the manufacturer of this part.

Look the same, they juste put paste on the VW logo.

Price is around 120 euros.

I don't know which is the best choice, lots of stuff as you say including this, is said to have been manufactured by Lemforder for VW Group - then they just grid off the VW Group details and sell parts under their own numbering system, I'd take the chance on Lemforder if the savings are significant.

I tend to buy lots of stuff, like service parts from aftermarket suppliers who are selling them without the VW Group marking and packaging - like spark plugs from NGK, oil filters from Mann (factory tend to fit Hengst but dealership only sell VW Group branded Mann ones!?), air filters from Mann again same as fitted at factory, pollen filters from Mann, again same as fitted at factory but I only use the "better" version which is called Frecious Plus.

Edit:- it is a bit worrying when someone mentions that the quality varies with which country they were manufactured in - a lot like the Eldor etc ignition coils, that were top quality when manufactured in the original European country factory, but a complete disaster when manufactured in another "modern" European country - I think that you will find that if your car has Eldor ignition coils, they will, unfortunately have been manufactured it that "modern" European factory - so I'm keeping my finger crossed for the ones in my wife's Polo, and keep a spare "used but hopefully good" newer version in the boot!

Well, the part could be available in 48H and and will cost me 120 euros.
But for this price, it will be VW badged and I have a guarantee about the quality.

But I'm agree with you: it's a shame that, depending where the part has been manufactured, the quality can change.
I'm not gonna pass my weekend to change engine mount.

Yes it's not complicated but you have a lot of work around before and after.

BTW, on Driveru, every time on that is put "Spain" on it.

So I think it's manufactured in Europe.

The guy just remove the paste on the part and tadammmm! VW just under.
So yeah, for half the price, you can have the brand new part.

I juste made an order on Autodoc.
Cost me 60 euros.

Yes, I don't see why Lemforder will have two expensive tools and machinery just to produce the same part but with and without VW emblem.

Much worth to put past or something over.

yes, while the left engine mount is Lmeforder aka corteco makes the mount for lemforder.... oem

Sometimes the less you know about who makes what exactly is better - for your brain/mind - but I agree it is always good to have that information.
