R-Line PDC on front bumper

Post by ndc78 »

Hello everyone, I would like to mount the R-Line front bumper and possibly also retrofit PDC at the front. I've already pdc installed on the rear. Do we have instructions here and possibly part numbers for the sensors and wiring harness?

Kufatec supply some bits, it will be very expensive as typically you will need a front to rear cable, a front bumper cable, a new 8 channel controller, a switch, a second buzzer and 4 front sensors, then, unless you buy a front bumper that is already got the sensor holes in it - you will need 2 inner and 2 outer sensor mounting parts that ideally should be glued with an epoxy glue to the front bumper.

I've did this on a 2011 Audi S4 maybe 10 years ago - so I bought Kufatec cabling for that, new sensors, used 8 channel controller, switch and front buzzer - that system still works well.

I even bought the correct tools to punch 2 holes in the front bumper (the other 2 sensors fitted into the front grill using correct mountings).

When I upgraded the PDC system on my A3 to add front sensors, I found that it was much cheaper and easier to buy a complete kit from AliExpress than to source parts individually. Worth checking out if a similar kit for the Polo is available. Be aware that some coding changes will be required, so you will also need access to VCDS or similar.

Kufatec and carsystems offer an upgrade kit. Ali also offers it, but i'm unsure about quality.
