BI-Xenon to standard H7
Hi.
I have a Polo 1,6 TDI BMT from 2012.
Owner before me have done a lot of modifications on the car.
A bigger BCM is installed, and the car is among other things with following options:
-Rain sensor
-Bi-xenon with cornering light.(no position sensor on rearaxle)
-Start/stop
-Autolight
-Multifunction steering wheel.
-No front fog lights
Back to my question:
I want to get the car road legal, so I installed the original H7 front lights. The 10 to 14 pole cable is still installed in the harness.
It seems to work, but the problem is the auto light function. (Only the parking light is on, if it´s on auto position)
I have the contact with 4 positions. (0, auto, park and light)
I just want it to work normal. Front and rear light always turned on.
I can find many subjects about installation of the BI-xenon lights, but not how to remove them.
I already tried to change some coding, but it do not help.(Maybe I already done something wrong)
Any idea how to solve it in the easiest way? Can it be coded, or do I need to change some wires or hardware?
I have some problems to add the auto-scan in attachement, so here the file in a link: https://we.tl/t-6cZtvvXZRW
Thanks in advance.
Kasper

Re: BI-Xenon to standard H7
It's hard to say since we have to guess what the previous owner did. What happens when you put in the h7 lights?

Re: BI-Xenon to standard H7
Before I made some coding the lights was ok, but with error on cornering lights.
Problem is that when it’s not dark, only the small position lamps is on. This is not legal as driving light in DK

Re: BI-Xenon to standard H7
So what so you need now? To fix cornering light error and set low beams as drl? Will that solve the problem?

Amazing it was the needed code.
It works exactly as I wanted it to do.
Thanks for your fast and correct help

Re: BI-Xenon to standard H7
Hi again.
Unfortunately I just figured out that the driving light still turns off in daylight, when the contact is in auto.
I’m sorry, but I thought it was ok. Can this also be modified?
Thanks in advance

Re: BI-Xenon to standard H7
Please define driving lights.
Are you referring to the position/side/parking lights? (from the front)
The wiring for these lights may not be correct (for H7 OEM) due to modifications made by the previous owner, but we can try to fix it by coding...

Re: BI-Xenon to standard H7
I would like to have the low beam light(outer H7) on always, when the contact is on auto.( + rear light and 5w in front)
At the moment everything is working as it should when it’s dark, but in the day only parking/position(5w) is on, unless you put the contact completely to the right.
So in my opinion if just the light sensor in the front shield think its dark always, everything is ok.

Ah ok, you mean the DRL/TFL through the low beam bulb in the AUTO position of the light switch.Kasper Morthorst wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 9:53 pm I would like to have the low beam light(outer H7) on always, when the contact is on auto.( + rear light and 5w in front)

Try user iichel's BCM coding, maybe you'll get lucky... although I'm afraid DRLs must be mandatorily managed separately by the BCM 'with Auto lights'.
If I remember correctly the 2012 6R Bluemotion with halogen headlights have separate DRLs, which are located on an additional bulb inside what is supposed to be the fog lights.

The correct wiring diagram would be this: (see asterisks -*4- for models with start/stop system).

It is highly likely that these wires are present in the T10->T14 wiring adapters, in slot 10 of the T14 connectors... which you should now transfer to the T2 connectors.
Maybe this diagram to install bixenon headlights on 6R BMT will help you understand it.

In short, good luck wherever you need it.
