Hey guys, I’ve been thinking about this and was curious to ask your thoughts.
If someone was to do a lot of custom fab and dropped ££££ on the crappy little CGPB 1.2 60hp 3cyl from around 2011 how much power do you think it would make before failing and exactly how much money do you think it would take to make it perform well?
All purely for science ofc

Okay, so no one is going to try to help/guide you!
There is in most people's minds and pockets, no desire to flog that dead horse, that engine was placed in the market place to do "a job" which I'd think that it did well enough, it was designed to be built cheaply and not really fit for much in the way of refurbishment, so maybe don't try to kill it earlier than it plans to live for.
Early on in my car owning "career" I had an ex Post Office Ford Anglia van, I sort of thought fitting it with the uprights of a same age Ford van that had discs, and then a bigger engine, probably a 1500cc pre-crossflow - then I wakened up!
I happens to quite a few "car people", it will pass.

Re: Theoretical HP/TQ limit 1.2 NA
maximum power outputs are dependent on so many things
do you use forced induction
do you alter with engine geometry like stroke, bore, compression ratio
can you change intake?
can you change output?
what fuel? petrol, nitro, ethanol?
etc
I gave it some thought but then I was like... I really don't know. Too many factors to consider

open deck not so good, u may have issues with headgasket.
Also if it doesnt have oil squirters to cool the pistons you can forget boosted application and ask it to last.
Take a look at fiat 1.2 engines and what people do to them, you can expect silimar
