Polo 6C: emergency brake flashing

Post by Le_Combattant »

Hey fox,

It's been a while I get my hand on a OBDeleven, and until now I very happy of what I can with this little device.
Fast coding, fast trouble shooting with diagnostic etc...

By the past, I've unlocked some option available for my 6C (end of 2014) and I would like to unlock/code the emergency brake flashing.

On the OBDelven their is the "one shot" option available or "click and go" but it doesn't seems to work (I only try at 50km/h or 30mph).

Did I something wrong or maybye I need to go faster (I heard 70km/h).

When I wanted to figure out if I had emergency braking brake light flashing enabled I found a sufficient section of road with a fairly large road sign (preferably white and reflective) and once it was dark drove past it at 60mph (100kmh~) stood on the brakes and looked in my mirror to see the flashing light reflecting off the sign.

In my case, the lights didn't start flashing immediately, it took a good second, and when I came to a stop the hazard warning lights came on, and then turned themselves off when I pulled away.

I'd assume the car would need to see various things like a sudden and hard application of the brakes over a set amount of time, ABS/ESC intervention, and a certain speed.

Just for reference my car is a MY17 UK spec.

EDIT: After coding using the same way as for Golf 7, it's working fine.

Over 90 km/h with hard braking (ABS working) warning (hazard light) come on after the final stop.

This one:

High intensity brake light (hazards flash with hard braking)

09 - Central Electronics

Adaptation - 10

(1)-Assistance light functions-Notbremsanzeige NBA -> "active" (default "not active")

(11)-Dyn. turn signal modes-Notwarn_blinken_NBA_Phase_2 -> "active"

(15)-Dyn. turn signal modes-Crashblinken -> "active"
