Hi,
Just replaced the Pollen filter and noticed that previous owner had installed it wrong way, the arrow is mean to point towards the centre console, but it was pointing outwards towards the door!
What are the affects of having it installed the wrong way?
Thanks

Re: Pollen Filter Doh!
Well, I'm guessing that if it was a basic filter, not much, though the intended incoming surface would probably trap big stuff and as the air continued through the filter the smaller stuff would get trapped - so if that idea is true, then the incoming surface would get choked quicker.
If it was the carbon dusted filter then maybe some of the carbon would get ejected out into the cabin air along with the incoming surface clogging quicker.
I've only ever, for the past maybe 15 years, used Mann Frecious filters as they are again a big leap in filtering over the first two. Mahle Knecht(sp) now also market something equivalent to the Mann Frecious versions.
