Post by Dylbo123 »

Hi my car is a vw polo 1.2 tdi 2012 and when I press the Aircon button the red light does not turn on neither does the Aircon , this is also the same with the air recirculation button

Any suggestions would be helpful thanks

Hi Dylbo, please don't be offended, but do you have the blower/fan operating when you try to press the buttons?

Kind regards, Tracendaz.

If there is a fault with the AC system, like low fridge gas pressure - due to a lose of R134A, then the system will protect itself.

I don't know if your cabin air controller can be forced into performing a "self test" and handing out stored fault codes, the earlier fully automatic Climatronic could.

So, if not, then you would need to get this car scanned using an "all systems vag fully compliant" scan tool to get access to any/all stored fault codes - other than doing that, you are just widely guessing what could/might be wrong.
