2013 6R GTI MAP SENSOR
Could anyone tell me the part number to the map sensor.
I am getting the fault codes:
P0106 - absolute manifold
Was told to change this map sensor
Where is the map sensor located also?
I also have code P0236 - Turbocharger Supercharger boost sensor A Circuit Range / Performance. How can I fix this one?

I was told by RTMG who mapped the car to use this sensor, 038906051C? Would you agree?

Re: 2013 6R GTI MAP SENSOR
I'm not super familiar with these engines, but since the turbocharger sits at the front, I'm guessing the intake manifold is at the rear.
I can only go on the pictures on the web for this.
you can see the sensor here:

the intake is here:

So you'll need to remove the supercharger intake piping, by the looks of it.
I took the 03G part number as most recent but I guess the 038 part number should work as well, it's succeeded by the number I gave you.

Would you happen to know anything about this code P0236 - Turbocharger Supercharger boost sensor A Circuit Range / Performance. How can I fix this one?

Re: 2013 6R GTI MAP SENSOR
I’ve changed the sensor and cleared the codes and car seems to drive fine, full power and blow off valve working as should and opening.
However when I turn the car off and on again then the BOV doesnt work and has reduced power. I plug in the obd scanner and shows the same codes again. I clear them and start car then car works again.
What else could be causing this issue?

Did you use a genuine vw sensor or some aftermarket?

Re: 2013 6R GTI MAP SENSOR
Any other error codes besides the one p0106 and p0236? Both are marked as static/active?

Re: 2013 6R GTI MAP SENSOR
I’ve just got a normal obd scanner, only showing those two codes. Will get it scanned with vcds hopefully tomorrow and see if anything else is appearingiichel wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 3:37 pm Any other error codes besides the one p0106 and p0236? Both are marked as static/active?

Re: 2013 6R GTI MAP SENSOR
Allright.
You could check the G31 sensor (you replaced G71, those fail much more often) as well, it's on the charge pipe, number 8
OEM number 03G906051E superspeeded by 03G906051M
